The British boxer prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight round match which will be streamed in real-time on Netflix.
British boxer Anthony Joshua said he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "defeat" his opponent as the pair met personally to build hype for next month's heavyweight fight.
Ex two-time unified title holder Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami's arena on 19 December.
Fighter's Mentality
"I plan to injure his face and damage his physique. I'm here to prove I'm superior," Joshua, 35 years old, said.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I intend to seriously aim to cause him pain. That's my goal."
Respectful Interaction
Despite such comments, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - usually recognized for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.
Paul rather targeted ex Joshua opponent the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian turned down a fight offer.
Targeting Fury
Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, took aim at British rival Tyson Fury - and declined a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a victory for Paul.
"Jake Paul is better than Fury - he's present here," Joshua commented.
"I respect him for that."
Legitimate Fighter
Despite declaring he will punish Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to talk badly about his rival's fighting skills.
"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he remarked.
Jake Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has mostly boxed mixed martial artists or declining opponents since turning professional.
He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.
Commercial Attraction
Still, the relative newcomer continues to be one of boxing's largest money-making draws, regularly earning massive earnings.
Prediction and Belief
The 28 year old forecast a KO victory in round four or five and stated he would prevent the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly under discussion for two years from now.
"It will be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul stated.
Physical Disparity
As both boxers met for the usual confrontation, with their physical disparity on show, it drove home just how improbable this complete situation is - and how remarkable it is that the match is truly happening.
